About this Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Engineer to join our client, a global engineering solutions company, on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to work on a project that requires expertise in software development, systems engineering, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software for the Project X Active Cockpit simulator
  • Own requirements, design, implementation, system integration, and test within schedule and estimates
  • Adhere to systems engineering practices
  • Report on progress and provide feedback to team members and leadership
  • Produce technical documentation
  • Design technical solutions integrating COTS hardware and software
  • Plan and estimate development activities
  • Manage technical risk
  • Work with customers to support delivered systems and resolve issues
  • Manage technical tasks
  • Line manage and mentor team members
  • Develop and refine development processes
  • Develop system architectures to meet emerging IT and IT security requirements
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maths, or Physics
  • Strong programming knowledge and experience in C/C++ using Visual Studio
  • Project X domain knowledge, particularly cockpit Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  • Experience with configuration control tools, particularly Mercurial
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Proactive with the ability to think creatively
  • Security Clearance Required
