Job Overview

Austin Fraser is seeking a Drinking Water Safety Expert to join their team. This role involves managing the Company's Drinking Water Safety Plan (DWSP) system, conducting site audits, and developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental and water science, with experience in risk management and regulation compliance. They will also possess excellent report writing and IT skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive Drinking Water Safety Plan (DWSP) that ensures compliance with regulations.
  2. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess water quality hazards and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to develop policies, procedures, and standards that promote water quality awareness and best practices.
  4. Analyse water sample data and evaluate risk controls to ensure effective risk management.
  5. Provide training and guidance to colleagues on water quality risk management and regulation compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science or water quality.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in water quality risk management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations, including the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2016.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
