About This Role

The MDE Group UK has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Energy Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Energy Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the analysis and reporting requirements of the wider team, including the Head of Energy Management and Senior Energy Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing reporting for clients' various legislative requirements, including CCAs, SECR, Efficiency projects, load shifting, and storage.
  • Liaise with customers and Account Managers to obtain site-specific data to support the delivery of Energy Management as a Service contracts.
  • Collect and screen data for Carbon reporting (SECR or Net Zero).
  • Undertake triage of data alerts for the Energy Control Centre and raise relevant alerts to the Energy managers and Customers.
  • Provide automatic reports for energy usage patterns to support the audit team in identifying energy and carbon reductions.
  • Support the delivery of feasibility studies and the creation of digital twins for various clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on Compliance specific business development, acting as a point of reference for EMT services.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in UK energy regulations, including the Climate change agreement scheme, Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), and Non-domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPC).
  • Ability to analyse complex energy consumption data, identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, and derive actionable insights to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in conducting desk-based energy audits and assessments to evaluate the energy performance of buildings, systems, and processes, and identify energy trends and operational drivers.
  • Experience in preparing accurate and timely compliance reports and documentation, including submission of regulatory reports to relevant authorities, and maintaining comprehensive records of energy usage and compliance activities.
  • Familiarity with energy management systems and software tools used for monitoring, managing, and optimizing energy consumption, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Experience in managing compliance projects from initiation to completion, including coordinating cross-functional teams, setting and meeting deadlines, and managing resources efficiently.
