Recruit4staff is proud to present a unique opportunity for an Automation Support Engineer to join their client, a leading company in the industry. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £54,000 per annum (DOE) and a benefits package including life assurance and health care cover.

The Role:

As an Automation Support Engineer, you will be responsible for developing systems and people to improve site automation performance. You will also provide reactive support for site automation issues within a clear escalation process.

You will own minor Capex projects through the full project life cycle and support project delivery of other site projects with automation elements. Additionally, you will facilitate site activities to centrally delivered Capex projects and maintain and monitor use of automation and electrical system software and documentation version control systems.

Liaison with the Automation Development Team is crucial to ensure site criticality is a key element of group level standards. You will evaluate performance data to feed into automation OE activity to deliver improvements in efficiency and operability within production.

Ownership of site panel risk assessment register, periodic health checks and remedial/improvement actions are also essential responsibilities.

Required Skills:
  1. Strong PLC experience, preferably Allen Bradley or Siemens - ESSENTIAL
  2. Strong electrical skills - ESSENTIAL
  3. Previous experience in a similar Automation role
  4. Previous FMCG experience - BENEFICIAL

This role is commutable from Studley, Worcester, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Great Malvern, Solihull, Birmingham, Kidderminster.
