Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Manager Opportunity

Michael Taylor Search & Selection is proud to present a unique opportunity for a seasoned Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Manager to join one of London's oldest and most respected contracting businesses.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our Fire Alarm & Sprinkler team in delivering major Data Centre schemes as both GC and MEP Subcontractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire safety, with significant experience working within fire alarms & sprinklers, and a proven track record of managing projects to a minimum of £2m within their own discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Management: reviewing design, liaising with client, main contractor, and consultants
  2. Procurement of subcontractors, kit, and plant
  3. Technical submittals
  4. RFIs - Liaison with client team, main contractor, and sub-contractors
  5. Value Engineering where applicable
  6. Programming of works - ensuring projects meet key deadlines
  7. Health and Safety
  8. Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub-contractor variation accounts working alongside project-specific Quantity Surveyor.
  9. Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers, and supervisors)
  10. Progress meetings with sub-contractors, client, and internal meetings
  11. Overseeing commissioning stages and handover stages

Requirements
  1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a management role
  2. Significant experience working within fire alarms & sprinklers
  3. Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2m within your own discipline
  4. Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
