**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a Software Analyst to join our team at Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining computer software applications.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design, develop, test, document, implement, and maintain computer software applications that meet business requirements.
  • Use software tools for the development of new applications and implement procedures for their continued maintenance and interaction with other corporate systems.
  • Assist with the continuing development of the website.

**Requirements:**

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and associated methodologies.
  • Business systems analysis, web development, and design.
  • Ability to develop applications using a range of development tools.
  • Appropriate IT qualifications and/or experience.
  • Proven practical experience of software development in a commercial or public sector environment.
