About the Role

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Genomic Practitioner to join our Clinical Genetics team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality clinical genetics service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Genetic Counsellors to gather information from patients before and after clinics, including family history details.
  • Liaise with other departments and NHS trusts to obtain relevant information, including confirming diagnoses and test results.
  • Support the consent and sample process for patients undergoing Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) testing.
  • Assist the research team in increasing opportunities for patients to participate in research and supporting patient registries for inherited and rare diseases.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal abilities, experience in a clinical setting, and strong organisational skills. You will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
