Job Summary

beBee Professionals in Wakefield is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining our manufacturing equipment, ensuring all machinery functions efficiently and safely.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency, using your knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and failures, using your technical expertise to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all equipment meets safety regulations and quality standards, conducting regular checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree or certification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience: Previous experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: An estimated annual salary of £45,000 - £60,000, depending on experience.
