We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Autism Support Assistant to join our team at a mixed primary school in Waltham Forest, London. This rewarding role involves working closely with teachers and other professionals to provide individualized support to students with Autism.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside our dedicated staff to create a supportive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth for all students. You will be responsible for implementing personalized strategies to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with Autism, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans
  • Help students build social skills, manage emotions, and develop independence
  • Monitor student progress and report back to teachers and parents
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in supporting children with Autism or similar experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with students and families
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt to changing situations
