Project Management Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend, supporting our clients to deliver construction infrastructure projects and programmes across the South/South West of the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with a Defence, Rail, Water/Utilities or Highways background, with proven experience and understanding of NEC processes. NEC accreditation is preferred.

The successful candidate will lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, and support clients as they transition to Net Zero and deal with wider changes to make themselves more sustainable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Project Management Commissions to deliver projects to time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Providing support on major Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for an aspect of service delivery.
  • Ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Assisting clients in their transition to Net Zero and wider sustainability initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with a focus on NEC contracts.
  • Strong expertise in NEC contract administration.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
  • Self-motivation and strategic problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders within the framework of NEC contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in a construction-related subject.
  • Preferred if chartered or qualified with ICE, APM, RICS, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NEC processes and a proven track record in delivering projects to time, cost, and quality targets. They will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
