Fire Safety Consultant Opportunity

Marlowe Fire & Security, a leading provider of fire safety solutions, is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join their team in the West Midlands.

The successful candidate will deliver a full fire risk assessment and consultancy service to national and local clients across the UK, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough fire risk assessments of nominated buildings, identifying potential hazards and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely submission of risk assessments, meeting contractual service level agreements.
  • Maintain a log of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and changes to legislation, applying this knowledge to risk assessments and consultancy services.
  • Attend appointments to fulfill consultancy activities, providing expert advice to clients.
  • Collate relevant information and ensure accurate documentation is utilized.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required, providing clear and concise recommendations.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, maintaining a positive image.
  • Achieve agreed targets, completing a set number of risk assessments per calendar month.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed, ensuring seamless delivery of services.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognized accreditation in fire safety, such as IFE, IFSM, or IFPO.
  • Current membership on a life safety risk register or willingness to work towards it.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accurate and thorough risk assessments.
  • A friendly and approachable personality, with excellent time management skills.
  • A professional image, both internally and externally.
