Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our client's team, a Tier 1 Contractor in the water industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth commissioning of water infrastructure projects, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review tender documentation and prepare submission documentation for commissioning and handover on tenders.
  2. Assist in carrying out commissioning reviews at the design stage.
  3. Review mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings, schematics, equipment selections, and technical submittals to identify potential installation and commissioning issues.
  4. Work with the production team and other subject experts to develop a detailed and timed commissioning delivery plan.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with project teams and Thames Water to generate commissioning plans during the project brief/outline design stage.
  2. Establish robust commissioning processes and procedures that meet the company and Thames Water requirements, ensuring exceptional commissioning performance.
  3. Work closely with project managers to provide technical expertise and deliver all commissioning activities.

Requirements

  1. Previous commissioning experience in the water industry (mechanical, electrical, ICA works).
  2. Ideal qualifications include HNC/ONC level, but open to experience.
  3. Hold SMSTS/SSSTS qualification.
  4. Suitable CSCS card.

Package

  1. Salary up to £57,000.
