About the Role

As a Mental Health Transport Assistant, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely and efficiently, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.

You will work closely with our experienced team of drivers and healthcare professionals to provide personalized care and support to each patient. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy, as well as the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Requirements
  • Valid Full UK Manual Driving License with minimum 12 months driving experience

Working Pattern and Contract

This is a full-time contract, working on a 4-on-4-off shift pattern, alternating between days and nights. You will work approximately 40.3 hours per week, with a blended rate of £12.37 p/h (Day, Night, and Weekend Shifts). Annual remuneration starts from £25,946.23, based on expected hours. There may be occasions when working times need to change with reasonable notice.

Please note that this contract includes enhanced pay of £1.20 extra per hour for work at a Mental Health 'place of safety' and for bed watch activities, supporting ward staff.
