Primary Care Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and driven Primary Care Nurse to join our team at HMP Hewell, a category B Prison located in Redditch. As a Primary Care Nurse, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake medication rounds and dispense controlled medication
- Attend emergency response situations and assess patients
- Undertake reception screening and use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse-led clinics to your patient group
- Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients
- Bespoke induction and training, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course
- Competency framework and regional and national career development opportunities
- Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs
- Support from the wider team and a competitive annual salary up to £36,300 per annum

Qualifications and Experience:- Registered nurse Adult
- Current professional qualification (NMC)
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
