About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Learning Disability Nurse to join our team at Burton Park, a 50-bedded neurobehavioural locked rehabilitation hospital for patients with acquired brain injury and neuro-progressive conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the comprehensive assessment of patients on admission and develop individualised care plans.
  • Monitor and review patient plans, ensuring evidence-based practice and positive risk management.
  • Work collaboratively with the transdisciplinary team to deliver therapeutic interventions and promote basic living skills.
  • Manage medication and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Take charge of the unit as required and communicate effectively with the team.
Requirements
  • RMN/RNLD qualification and completion of pre-registration/preceptorship.
  • Experience of working in a similar environment and role.
  • Self-motivated and positive role model with a drive to take responsibility for personal learning and development.
  • Ability to problem-solve and have a solution-focused approach.
