Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Server to join Leah's Bistro team. As a Server, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that customers receive top-notch hospitality throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude, setting the tone for an enjoyable experience.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders while providing menu recommendations and upselling items when appropriate, maximising revenue opportunities.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Monitor tables to ensure guest satisfaction, addressing any needs or concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient communication regarding orders, streamlining the dining process.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for incoming guests, ensuring a seamless transition between service periods.
  • Handle cash and process payments accurately while ensuring compliance with restaurant policies, maintaining a secure and reliable payment system.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential, as we provide comprehensive training to support your growth.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary basics is advantageous, enabling you to make informed decisions and deliver high-quality service.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods, prioritising tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Basic maths skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately, ensuring financial integrity and accuracy.
  • A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and helping guests have an enjoyable experience, creating memorable moments and driving loyalty.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment, embracing diversity and promoting a positive work culture.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to accommodate changing schedules.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £23,786.00-£24,192.00 per year, reflecting the value we place on our employees' contributions. Additional benefits include:
