About the Role

Zachary Daniels is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key member of our site leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective safety and environmental control measures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage risk assessments and COSHH programs to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters, promoting a culture of proactive risk management.
  • Conduct regular health, safety, and environmental audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and lead major incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Chair the local safety committee to ensure effective communication and collaboration with employees and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our company's health, safety, and environmental management system.
  • Maintain legislative compliance and ensure that our site meets all relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.
  • Assertive and able to influence others to ensure buy-in and commitment to health, safety, and environmental objectives.
  • High level of awareness of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
