Digital Content Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Officer to join our team at Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS). As a key member of our Digital Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the digital content publishing process and creating intuitive, engaging, and fully optimized UX journeys across our digital estate.
Key Responsibilities- Support all content publishing activities within BAU operations covering the USS Public Site, My USS Portal, and Employer Portal
- Work closely with the Digital Content Manager, have a basic understanding of analysis and measurement techniques, and the resulting insights
- Maintain and develop knowledge on the USS Content Management System (CMS), its features, functions, templates, processes, and environments
- Support the team with the creation of test scripts against allocated components, their subsequent execution, and associated defect remediation process, regression testing, and live proving
- Develop and maintain knowledge of best practice guidelines for digital content and UX, including accessibility and USS's ongoing commitment to WCAG AA standards
- Contribute to the maintenance of the Digital inbox, recording enquiries, and ensuring they are responded to promptly, and that all business processes are adhered to
- Provide excellent customer support to internal and external users, responding to enquiries promptly, and delivering requests within agreed timescales
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for delivering positive online user experiences. You will have a basic understanding of HTML & CSS, experience in publishing web content with a CMS, and experience in Adobe apps such as Photoshop/Illustrator/Adobe XD or similar. You will also have knowledge of image optimization techniques, knowledge of User Experience and graphic design principles, and the ability to plan multiple tasks/workstreams.
