About the Role

As a key member of the Philanthropy team at ClientEarth, you will play a vital role in securing unrestricted income and supporting the organisation's financial resilience. Your primary responsibility will be to represent the Philanthropy team internally and externally, providing crucial support across the philanthropy portfolio and managing your own portfolio of supporters and multi-year donors.

You will be tasked with leading the prospecting plan and working closely with various teams to implement fundraising initiatives. This will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders, as well as external partners, to identify key networks and individuals who can support ClientEarth financially and/or introduce their connections.

Main Duties

  • Soliciting, Maintaining, and Managing Donor Relationships: Actively engage with a personal portfolio of donor relationships to secure unrestricted and restricted income targets.
  • Stewarding and Cultivating UK Networks: Work closely with the philanthropy team to effectively steward and cultivate UK networks outside of London.

Requirements:

  • Prospect Research: Drive prospect research, working with internal and external stakeholders to identify key networks and individuals capable of supporting ClientEarth financially and/or introducing their connections.
  • Funding Briefs and Research Notes: Prepare funding briefs and research notes to support fundraising initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with the finance team, philanthropy assistant, and operations officer to track unrestricted income and maintain accurate financial records.
