About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Pollock (SCOTRANS) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and fault-finding issues with vehicles and trailers using the latest diagnostic equipment.

As an HGV Technician, you will ensure all vehicles and trailers are maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications, especially in relation to oil change parameters. You will also be responsible for ensuring all parts are booked out correctly and that legal documents are filled out accurately and on time.

The role involves working closely with the Fleet Workshop office staff to meet and surpass all agreed targets. You will be required to maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment and adhere to the company's health and safety policy at all times.

Requirements
  • Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) or part-qualified HGV Technician up to Level 2 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair)
  • HGV Class 1 CE licence beneficial
  • 3 years previous experience required
  • Intuitive diagnostic skills
  • Ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards
  • Excellent communication skills
