Job Description:

The Aspire Training Team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Level 3 Apprentice in Childcare.

Kids Love Nature, a leading provider of early years education, has developed a unique approach to learning that combines indoor and outdoor activities to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience in children.

As a Level 3 Apprentice, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing, and contributing to the creation of a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Treat each child as a unique individual, supporting their developmental needs and interests
  • Support new children in settling into the environment, contributing to their smooth transition
  • Carry out observations, assessments, and planning for key children, including statutory requirements and child profile books
  • Plan and present activities to children, based on their interests and developmental needs
  • Support children to engage in constructive activities, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Contribute to the completion of records, such as accident and incident forms, and sleep and nappy charts
  • Discuss any concerns about a child's welfare or development with the nursery management team

Requirements:

  • A Level 2 in Childcare is desired but not essential
  • GCSE Grades A*-C in English and Maths, or equivalent functional skills
  • Able to gain a clear DBS

Working Hours:

  • Approximately 36 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed
