About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Advisor to join our team at Boots Opticians. As a Pharmacy Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centred care and delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide health advice through focussed conversations with patients, ensuring they leave the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  • Deliver the technical aspects of the dispensary, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions.
  • Comply with legal and professional requirements and accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots.
  • Seek opportunities to engage with GPs and practice teams to promote services and items.
  • Deliver efficient dispensary operations and ensure dispensing losses are minimised.

Requirements

  • You will need to have either an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services or be working towards and have completed the first year of an Mpharm course at university.
  • You will also need to have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent to work in our dispensaries.
  • We will support your development to complete our training within 6 months of joining us.
