Child Care Director

Qualifications: We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with a strong educational background and relevant experience in early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field, as well as certifications in CPR and First Aid. A minimum of 5 years of experience working with children in a teaching position or administering child care is required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement educational programs for children aged 0-5 years.
  2. Supervise and lead a team of teaching staff to ensure high-quality care and education.
  3. Conduct interviews and reviews to select qualified staff members.
  4. Manage staff schedules and ensure compliance with company standards.
  5. Provide feedback and coaching to staff on their performance.
  6. Order and purchase educational materials and supplies.
  7. Organize field trips, special events, and holidays.
  8. Communicate with parents and staff to keep them informed of their child's progress.
  9. Address behavioral or learning problems with staff and children.
  10. Ensure compliance with state and local regulations.

Skills:

  1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  3. Knowledge of early childhood education and child development theories.

Work Environment:

Time is spent in the daycare facility divided between desk work and supervision of staff. Must be able to take on classroom duties. Must be willing to spend long hours standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting no more than 30 pounds. Must be able to work some nights and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday

Salary: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
