The charity has secured sustainable multi-year support from key grant makers and is now seeking someone to build, lead, and strengthen their ability to secure financial support from the public, companies, and corporate bodies, trusts, and grant makers across the UK.
The skills and experience required for this role include:
- Knowledge of the fundraising environment and a range of techniques for generating income
- Understanding of the charity sector and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to build, manage, and develop key stakeholder, client, and donor relationships
- Some line management experience or a willingness to learn and develop these skills
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
- An initiative-taking, innovative, and strategic approach with problem-solving abilities
- Empathy with refugees and asylum seekers, with a basic understanding of related issues
