Senior C&I Technician Job Description

Ams Nuclear Engineering Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior C&I Technician to join our team of experts in designing, building, and supplying control and instrumentation systems for the UK's nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture electrical and process control instrumentation-based panels from drawings, ensuring high-quality standards and excellent attention to detail.
  • Supervise a team of workshop technicians and apprentices, allocating work and ensuring progress is made at the appropriate rate.
  • Coach and support the workshop team to develop individual competencies and skills, adhering to Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality processes and policies.
  • Provide build time estimates and progress updates for Project Managers/Planners, ensuring tools and equipment are in good and safe condition for use.
  • Lead/Host Factory Acceptance Tests and occasional installation/commissioning work on customer sites around the UK.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role building and testing control panels.
  • High-quality standards and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience mentoring/developing junior staff.
  • Experience working with small-bore pipework and compression fittings desirable.
