Job Title: Buddy Support Specialist

A unique opportunity to support a delightful young lady with Cerebral Palsy, promoting independence and confidence.

About the Role:

We are seeking an encouraging and motivated individual to be Aisha's Buddy. As a Buddy, you will provide essential support with daily activities, assist with accessing the community, and help reduce anxiety levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support Aisha with her daily routine, including managing routines and tasks
  • Supervise and support Aisha during physical activities such as yoga or rebound classes
  • Provide companionship and promote self-esteem, confidence, and social skills
Requirements:
  • Cheerful, caring, and positive attitude
  • Friendly and calm demeanor
  • No experience necessary, but desirable if you share similar interests with Aisha (shopping, sewing, sports, leisure activities)
Working Conditions:
  • Approx 9 hours per week during term time, typical hours: Tuesdays 5pm-8.30/9.0pm and Sundays 12.00-5.00pm
  • During school holidays, hours may increase to 10 hrs a week over 2 days, typical hours 11.00am-3/4.00pm
Pay and Benefits:
  • Weekdays: £16.50 per hour, Weekends: £17.50 per hour
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
  • Pension (subject to qualifying status)
  • Free DBS check

Estimated Salary Range: £15,120 - £18,360 per annum (dependent on hours worked)
