Financial Operations Manager

At Sleep.8, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including the preparation and management of intricate financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:- Take charge of all accounting functions, including the preparation and management of financial statements.
- Supervise tax planning, filings, and compliance to guarantee accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead the payroll processing efforts while ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.
- Oversee and manage accounts receivable, putting effective credit control measures in place.
- Craft and maintain sophisticated financial models and spreadsheets that support strategic decision-making.
- Build and nurture numerous client relationships, delivering exceptional service and ensuring satisfaction.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns with promptness and professionalism.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
- Show initiative and leadership, driving process enhancements and proactively implementing solutions.
- Clearly and effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders, impacting organizational decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring financial records are accurate and complete.
- Develop, implement, and enhance recordkeeping and accounting systems by leveraging advanced technology solutions.
- Investigate discrepancies and address client inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- CPA qualification or a similar certification is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Extensive understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations, with a proven ability to apply them effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel, for financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear and concise presentations of complex information.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work under pressure.
- Previous experience in a senior accounting role or a proven progression in responsibilities.
- Technical competence in accounting software and financial reporting systems.
- A proactive self-starter who excels in tackling challenges and making informed decisions.
- Previous experience in the retail industry or a similar field will be a plus.
