Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Grateley House School, a successful 38-week residential school for young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

The successful candidate will support students in lessons, assist teachers in preparing work and resources, and participate in on and off-site activities. Previous experience working with young people is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, delivered by an experienced and dedicated staff team. Our aim is to fully prepare our students for successful lives beyond Grateley House School.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support students in lessons
  • Assist teachers in preparing work and resources
  • Participate in on and off-site activities
  • Complete required paperwork to record observations and interventions

Requirements:

  • GCSE level (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy
  • Commitment to personal learning and development
  • Sincere commitment to sharing our long-term aims and drive for continuous improvement
