Test Equipment Specialist

TQR Consultancy Ltd is seeking a skilled Test Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex test equipment used in various industries.
Your primary duties will include:
- Fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems;
- Maintaining test rig oil cleanliness filter systems to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency;
- Monitoring oil consumption and recording improvements achieved through 5S activities;
- Identifying and fixing leaks to prevent slips, trips, and falls;
- Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and providing training to operators where necessary;
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Mechanical Engineering qualification or recognised Engineering Apprenticeship;
- Recent experience in a similar role with exposure to mechanical engineering and experience of hydraulic systems;
- SAP knowledge and working experience of AutoCAD, as well as good literacy skills in Microsoft Office suite;
- Knowledge and experience of Electrical Engineering are preferred but not essential;
- BFPA training in Hydraulics is also desirable.
The successful candidate must be able to work a weekly shift rotation comprising Monday to Friday, 06:00am to 14:00pm and Monday to Friday, 14:00pm to 22:00pm. If required to train on day shift prior to moving to rotating shift, shift premium will not apply during training.
