Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our children's home in Lytham St. Annes. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive care plans, building a great team, and fostering consultation with young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Ensure each young person has a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
  • Develop a Great Team: Working with the recruitment team, bring in the right people for your home. Complete company induction and personal development plans, retaining a strong team to ensure familiar faces for the young people.
  • Foster Consultation: Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
  • Allocate Key Workers: Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their childcare plan.
  • Maintain High Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
  • Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to child care planning and review meetings as appropriate.

Requirements and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of experience in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is also required.
