Design and Technology Teacher Wanted

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Manchester. As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive instruction in various disciplines, including product design, textiles, electronics, and graphic design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and rigorous Design and Technology lessons that align with the national curriculum and meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that encourages experimentation, collaboration, and creative expression.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Design and Technology department and across the school to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the relevance and currency of your teaching.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and materials.
  • Proficiency in a range of design software and technologies.
