We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Deputy Manager to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Health and Social Care, with experience in managing staff teams and ensuring compliance within the service. You will also have the ability to encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
  • Planning rotas, management of staff teams,
  • Ensuring compliance within the service.
  • Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensuring the safety of the service users.
  • Following care plans for each individual.
  • Taking service users out into the community.
  • Participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care.

Requirements:

  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3
  • Senior Support Worker Experience
  • Must be resilient.
  • Drivers ESSENTIAL due to the nature of the role
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
