An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Outpatient Occupational Therapist in eating disorders. This part-time role requires a commitment of one day per week with potential for increased hours over time.

Job Description:

As an Outpatients Occupational Therapist, you will carry out all relevant care forms in partnership with clients and other professionals without direct supervision. You will be closely involved in discharge planning and immediate follow-up from the service user's care.

You will manage clients using evidence-based and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions that provide confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living.

Requirements:

  • Holds a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy with full BVAOT membership and HPC registration.
  • Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Ideal experience: minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Previous experience working with clients who have had an eating disorder or other mental health condition.
  • Experience in group interventions and supervising junior staff.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Critical evaluation of current research and application to practice.
  • Reviewing and reflecting on own practice through professional and operational supervision.
  • Safeguarding policies and procedures adherence.
