About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team in Haematology and Blood Transfusion. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality laboratory services and contributing to the development of our pathology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the quality management system and UKAS accreditation
  • Train and develop less experienced members of staff
  • Validate and authorise laboratory results
  • Provide quality service to patients
  • Resolve complex equipment or process problems
  • Perform manual, semi-automated, and fully automated laboratory investigations
  • Participate in the day-to-day management of stock control and usage

Requirements
  • HCPC registration
  • Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent
  • Additional specialist qualifications if required
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
