Commercial Finance Analyst Job Description

Hiring Now: Commercial Finance Analyst

We are currently working with a fantastic company in the FMCG sector that's looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to support a rapidly growing division in their global business. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing product costings and providing essential financial insights to drive profitability.

The Role:
  • Manage product costings (pricing) for new business to support sustainable growth.
  • Partner with the Head of Finance to provide crucial insights on pricing, product profitability, and cost optimisation.
  • Deliver variance analysis and support corrective actions for financial performance.
  • Create scenario planning models to assist in key investment decisions (capital investment, third-party manufacturing, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Service Organisation (ESO) to support supply chain and commercial opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate standard costs and oversee overhead spend.
  • Support the FP&A Manager with performance analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of finance experience, preferably in FMCG / manufacturing/distribution/retail sectors with exposure to standard costing.
  • Part-qualified or passed finalist (CIMA/ACCA).
  • Strong experience in pricing/costings in FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working across all levels of an organisation.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven mindset and ability to work independently.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, SumIfs, Pivot Tables); knowledge of SAP4/HANA or Microsoft D365 is a bonus.
