Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Thames Water. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating plant failures and carrying out repairs to ensure minimal disruption to our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and diagnose complex faults in electrical systems and equipment.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and trainees.
  • Work on a variety of electrical systems, including motors, gearboxes, and control systems.
  • Participate in a standby rota and be available for emergency call-outs.
  • Complete necessary training and certifications to operate equipment safely.

Requirements

  • 18th Edition electrical City and Guilds certification is essential.
  • Experience in electrical systems maintenance and repair, preferably in a multi-skilled capacity.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 in mechanical engineering is desirable.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and complete necessary training.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
