About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Marine Consultant - Consenting Specialist to join our Marine Renewables and Infrastructure team at oilandgas. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consenting, permitting, and general Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) support to our clients in the offshore wind and subsea cables sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Manage and coordinate with technically-focused employees to deliver reports and studies to clients.
  • Contribute to business development and marketing strategies, identifying and contacting potential clients for new business opportunities.
  • Line manage up to five individuals, including Consultants and Senior Consultants.
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of the EIA and consenting process for at least one major marine development sector in the UK.
  • Demonstrable Project Management skills, with evidence of acting as a PM on previous projects.
  • Business development experience, via client relationship management and/or leading on bid preparation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team as/when required.
