We are seeking a qualified and experienced teaching assistant to join our team at Education Matters Group's co-educational preparatory school in East London. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Class Teacher to support the learning and development of young children.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about Early Years education and has a proven track record of working with children in this age group. You will be responsible for assisting the Class Teacher with classroom management and taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Class Teacher with lesson planning and delivery
  • Take responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
  • Support the school team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 qualification in EYFS
  • Proven track record of working with children in an Early Years setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills, engaging pupils and differentiating work according to academic levels
  • Clear understanding of phonics
  • Experience working with children of EYFS age
  • Subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Legal right to work in the UK

The salary for this role is approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
