Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Sonographer to join our friendly Ultrasound team at Colchester Hospital and Clacton Diagnostic Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations on a rotational basis, including obstetrics, gynaecology, and general medical ultrasound.
  • Provide a high-quality, efficient, and effective ultrasound service, comprising unsupervised scanning sessions.
  • Offer specialist advice and supervision to all staff and students within the Ultrasound Unit.
  • Ensure safe use of all ultrasound equipment, resolving first-line problems, recording accurate details of equipment faults, and liaising with engineers.
Key Requirements
  • DCR (R) or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification in ultrasound.
  • Current HCPC/NMC registration.
  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £46,148 to £52,809 per annum, pro rata. In addition, we provide a generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments, and access to a range of NHS discounts.
