About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Primary Art Specialist to join our team at a Primary provision in the West of Bristol. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing art and design curriculum that fosters creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking in students.

The role requires the ability to create engaging and inclusive lessons, adapting to the diverse needs of students. A strong background in art education, with experience working with SEN or SEMH children highly desirable. Collaborative teamwork and effective communication are essential, with opportunities for professional development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging art and design lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and guardians to ensure seamless integration into the school community.

Requirements:

  • A valid teaching qualification, with ECT experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • An estimated salary of £25,500 - £36,000 per annum, paid weekly, based on experience.
