We are currently recruiting for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to report to the Commercial Director. The successful candidate will be required to work with the Estimators, Sales, and Project Managers in the execution of projects in London and the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financially manage secured contracts for commercial landscape and construction projects.
  2. Assist the estimating and sales team in preparing tender submissions.
  3. Quantify, negotiate, and procure labour packages and key material purchases.
  4. Identify contractual risks and manage submission and receipt of contractual applications, notices, and certificates.
Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Financially manage secured contracts for commercial landscape and construction projects.
  2. Identify contractual risks and assist in risk management.
  3. Analyse estimated cost allowances and apply to labour packages and material purchases.
  4. Challenge and cross-check cost allowances, quantities, drawings, and specifications.
  5. Conduct site surveys for accurate quantity checking where necessary.
  6. Negotiate and procure subcontract labour packages working with Project Managers.
  7. Control and manage financial aspects of subcontract accounts throughout project progress.
  8. Quantify, negotiate, and procure key material purchases within budget and timescales.
  9. Develop and manage subcontract and purchase contractual terms.
  10. Assist the estimating and sales team with preparing tender submissions.
  11. Manage submission and receipt of contractual applications, notices, and certificates.
  12. Submit monthly applications for payment on time.
  13. Manage and apply cost to variations as requested through project progress.
  14. Calculate monthly work-in-progress financial reports.
  15. Analyse and report on project costings and profitability.
  16. Manage and report cash flow per project.
  17. Maintain regular contact and good working relationships with clients and suppliers.
  18. Attend site meetings as necessary.
  19. Build on existing relationships to develop further business activity.
  20. Maintain awareness of landscaping and construction sectors and share insights with the team.
