This is a casual role with no guaranteed hours each week, requiring drivers to cover business requirements and ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Salary

The estimated hourly rate for this position is £12.25 for weekdays and £13.75 for weekends. Additionally, you can expect to earn enhanced rates after 10 hours of work, plus up to £10 per day meal allowance (tax-free) and £26.20 per night out.

We also offer a retention bonus of £5 per shift worked and an excellent pallet bonus scheme. Furthermore, you'll have access to a company pension plan, receive continuous training, and be supplied with company uniform and safety equipment.

Job Description

This role involves ensuring vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to your DC team, and guaranteeing the security and accuracy of delivery. You'll need to follow delivery instructions accurately, drive in a safe and efficient manner, and adhere to our health and safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to hold a valid HGV Class 2 license, a UK digital tachograph card, and a full DQC (CPC card). Preferred experience includes curtainside trailers, building supplies, and ratchet strapping. Newly qualified drivers with less than 12 months' commercial Class 2 driving experience are not eligible for this position.
