**Job Overview:**

The Category Buyer will play a crucial role in managing and controlling inventory levels of parts and components essential for our operations. This includes:

  1. Maintaining accurate records of all parts and components in inventory, being the point of contact for all part enquiries.
  2. Coordinating with suppliers to procure necessary parts and components according to demand forecasts and fitter schedules.
  3. Receiving incoming parts shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and inspecting for quality and accuracy.
  4. Generating regular reports on inventory levels, procurement activities, and inventory performance metrics. Providing insights and recommendations for inventory optimization and cost reduction.
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and procurement to ensure seamless operations and timely availability of parts.

**Key Responsibilities:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Managing inventory levels and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  2. Coordinating with suppliers to meet demand forecasts and fitter schedules.
  3. Inspecting incoming parts shipments for quality and accuracy.
  4. Generating reports on inventory levels and procurement activities.
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.

**Requirements:**

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Previous purchase experience within a construction or heavy equipment company.
  2. Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
