Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health challenges in the Black Country community.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and formulate individual interventions, plans, and outcome measures that promote recovery for adults with mental health difficulties.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and professional disciplines to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Develop and implement effective therapeutic interventions and psychotropic medication management plans.
- Provide safe, sound, and supportive services to individuals and their families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Specialist skills in assessing and formulating individual intervention plans for adults with mental health difficulties.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective IT skills and administrative skills to support accurate record keeping.
- Experience of collaborative working across agencies and professional disciplines.
- Excellent risk assessment and management skills.
- Ability to deal with challenging situations.
- Post-registration experience of working in multidisciplinary community mental health services.
- Knowledge of government directives and current policies.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983.
- Knowledge of the safe storage, administration, and monitoring of psychotropic medications.
