About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our client, a leading mechanical contractor in Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will review project plans, estimate costs, and prepare detailed bid proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review project plans and specifications to estimate costs for materials and labour.
  2. Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals.
  3. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to secure and negotiate pricing from suppliers.
  4. Identify and mitigate potential risks.
  5. Manage project budgets and interpret technical drawings.
  6. Monitor progress and adjust estimates as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 1 year's experience in a mechanical estimating role. You will also need a NVQ/C&G Level 3 Plumbing & Heating qualification or higher, as well as a working knowledge of labour, plant, materials, and equipment rates.
