Fire Service and Maintenance Specialist

City Group is seeking a highly skilled Fire Service and Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering PPM Servicing and repairing life safety systems, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained.
We are a leading national supplier of fire safety, security, and electrical services for the Social Housing sector. Our client has won numerous new contracts and is looking for experienced engineers to carry out installs, testing, inspection, and repairs as part of our skilled team.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) and emergency lighting systems, Nurse Call, and Access Control in accordance with relevant British Standards.
- Maintain emergency lighting systems and other associated equipment, such as fire extinguishers, AOVs, etc.
- Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department to keep replenished and appropriately stocked.
- Have a Health and Safety mindset, looking at possible risks associated with the role and reporting any issues promptly.
- A flexible approach to work with a minimum of 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with opportunity to earn significantly more through weekends and participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
- A full UK Driving License.
- Previous Fire Alarm Experience and knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
- FIA training (or equivalent required) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals.
- A base salary of £28,295 - £37,440 per annum (40 hours a week) and opportunity to earn much more with overtimes, travel time, out-of-hours retainer fees.
