Leicester, Leicester, United Kingdom Wales Medicines Strategy Group Full time

Wales Medicines Strategy Group is currently seeking a skilled Clinical Trials Pharmacy Professional to join our team. As a leading healthcare provider, we offer competitive salaries and benefits packages. The estimated salary for this position is £26,530 - £29,114 per annum.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced pharmacy technician to fill this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess strong communication skills. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine pharmaceutical duties with a high level of accuracy to support the provision of the Clinical Trials service across the Trust.

The main purpose of the post is to ensure the flow and appropriate prioritization of clinical trial work through the department to optimize efficiency and maintain 'turn around' target times to ensure the provision of a prompt and responsive clinical trial service.

  • To deputise for the Clinical Trial Co-ordinator at each site as necessary to co-ordinate clinical trial services and assist the dispensary team leaders and duty technicians with clinical trial dispensing and checking as required.
  • To participate in weekend, late duty and bank holiday work in accordance with departmental rotas.
Responsibilities

You will have to have a good attention to detail, be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team and contribute to the process of service development and innovation by your own initiative and enthusiasm. You will be required to work to the strict guidance of ICH GCP, the European Clinical Trials Directive, Trust and Departmental SOPs.

Prior working in hospital, clinical trials, and an aseptic unit is desirable but not essential; we are keen to receive applications from pharmacy technicians working in any sector. Successful candidates will be given full training and development in these areas in order to fulfil specialist duties for this post.

  • High-quality care for all,
  • Being a great place to work,
  • Partnerships for impact, and

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

  • We are compassionate,
  • We are proud,
  • We are inclusive, and
  • We are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.

Requirements
