We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to join our dynamic Community locality team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist Systemic Psychotherapy services to children, young people, and their families, working within a framework of personal objectives and service agreements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist Systemic Psychotherapy services to a defined population, working autonomously and in accordance with professional ethics guidelines and Trust policies.
- Work with children, young people, and their families with mental health needs, using evidence-based treatment and practice in mental health.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other professionals and agencies, providing consultation and liaison as needed.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of the team's operational policies and services, ensuring high-quality care and effective service delivery.
- Travel for work purposes, as required, to provide clinical appointments in community settings or patients' homes.
- Masters/Diploma level qualification in Systemic Psychotherapy or AFT accredited equivalent.
- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant mental health/social welfare profession and demonstrable practice over a minimum of four years.
- Experience of working with children, young people, and their families, with a strong understanding of child development and mental health issues.
- Ability to work autonomously, setting appropriate goals and identifying mechanisms of clinical governance to support and maintain clinical practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse communities and professionals.
