Picking and Packing Operative Job Description

Thorne and Wait Recruitment is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Picking and Packing Operative to join our client's warehouse team in Brackley. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for picking orders, checking stock, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report stock discrepancies and perform general warehouse duties, including cleanliness and proactive work.
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the facilities.
Requirements:
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Maintain equipment and inventory control.
  • Demonstrate good spatial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Operate and control equipment efficiently.
  • Experience in meat handling is preferred.
  • Knowledge of stocking, stacking, packing, and critical thinking is essential.
Personal Qualities:
  • Be flexible and open-minded.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Display a positive, committed, and adaptable attitude.
