Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Finance and Planning Analyst, you will work closely with the FP&A manager to deliver commercial objectives and become a trusted business partner throughout the business. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the wider finance team in delivering accurate information and partnering with the business to achieve commercial objectives and manage departmental performance versus targets.
  • Actively participating in monthly financial planning meetings with departments across the business and commercial meetings with sales channel stakeholders.
  • Supporting commercial business reporting, including management information packs, presentation packs, and trading KPIs.
  • Continuously identifying and implementing reports to meet business needs within Jet Analytics and BI.
  • Contributing to and owning various projects throughout the business, including external market analysis and comparative performance benchmarking.
  • Supporting the creation of financial models to analyze and assist with commercial decisions.
  • Undertaking calculation and posting of journals in regard to the monthly management accounts where required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant financial qualification or studying towards a professional qualification, preferably CIMA.
  • Demonstrable experience from within a multi-channel multi-site business.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to create various financial models to assist with decision making.
  • Experience of creating commercial business reports.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Nav, Jet Analytics, and Power BI.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate with various stakeholders throughout the business.
